I'm a teacher - at Lakes Grammar, Warnervale. Lived on the Central Coast all my life but have travelled o/s to Italy, France, London & the USA. It's been a dream of mine since i was a young kid to record a CD.I must admit, writing lyrics comes easier to me than writing music, which is why on "In Colour Dream", three of tracks are a musical co-write with Simeon Gilmour. Collaborating with Sim was a great experience. In fact, the whole recording process was amazing. "In Colour Dream" features "Dream Out Loud" & "Colour", which were featured in a 1 & 1/2 hour interview on RhemaFM 94.9 in April 2009. The songs on the EP are as diverse as the experiences which created them. Here's what Chris had to say about some of them... " 'Colour' was born out of a time when life wasn't so colourful. 'Dream Out Loud' was born out of frustration of people not following their own dream. 'Maybe' appeared first as a 2 page rant on why things weren't happening - "maybe i'm alone cos i can't make up my mind about you" - which was edited down in the demo stage to 4mins.
