Five Times August. also known as Brad Skistismas, is originally from Dallas, Texas, where his major-chord infused acoustic melodies and thoughtful lyrics caught the ears of local listeners. He appeared numerous times on local tv, and local radio shows that showcased local bands. He quickly rose as a musical artist, to the point where he is now. His happy, yet hopelessly thought-provoking lyrics make his music hard to turn off. Skistismas re-released his album Fry Street, which was remastered and renamed “The Independent”. It is the first cd, without a record label, to be sold in WalMarts across the Nation. Skistismas successfully used the internet as a tool to reach out to fans across the nation, allowing him to remain a growing independent artist.
