London four-piece Conil are a strange brew indeed. According to the track Round Midnight, singer Conil (just the one name) has "jazz in my vein and the blues even come out of my arsehole." Their rasping, gritty urban blues is full of heavy drinking, drugs and hard life. Pray they live long enough to record a second album. Q Magazine
