by Lynnette Marte Nick Millhiser and Alex Frankel make up the techno-pop duo Holy Ghost! (exclamation point and all). The two were born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and have been friends since diaper days. They began their music career as members of a hip hop group called Automato. Their debut album was produced by James Murphy and Tims Goldsworthy of The DFA. After the group fell apart, Holy Ghost! was created but with more of a pop music vibe. These artists have a background in band music as Alex plays the keyboard and Nick plays the drums. Their background with instruments is what makes their tracks stand out. Their tunes have a unique sound but it’s pretty clear it was inspired by the 80s era. When it comes to creating a great dance track, they focus on drums and strong production, rather than lyrics. Nick and Alex are currently working on the final edits for their self-produced sophomore album, Dynamics, which should be out later this year, so stay tuned! 更多>>
